Before being drafted into the NFL in 2014, I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Management from the University of Southern California (USC). Prior to that, I was a High School All-American and ranked as a top-10 football prospect nationally.
From an early age, I committed to excellence both on and off the field. I graduated from Desert Vista High School with a 3.9 GPA and carried that discipline into college, earning a 3.8 GPA at USC and being named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team in 2010 and 2011. By the time I was drafted into the NFL, I was among a small group of players who had already completed both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
It was during my academic journey—and with the guidance of incredible mentors—that I discovered a passion for real estate investing and building passive income. That passion grew as I pursued my NFL career, and today, I’ve turned it into a thriving second chapter of my life. My portfolio now includes 29 properties, 50 syndication investments, and over $5 million loaned out through my private lending company, 42 Solutions.
Sharing what I’ve learned has become a cornerstone of my mission. In addition to my award-winning books, It All Adds Up and Real Estate Side Hustle, I regularly create educational content on social media and provide mentorship to current and former NFL players, as well as youth. Financial literacy is a cause close to my heart. In 2019, I was honored with a nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for my philanthropic efforts promoting education and financial empowerment.
Inspiring young people to pursue financial success, especially those who might not have had access to these opportunities, remains one of my greatest passions. I believe teaching financial literacy early can unlock lifelong freedom and opportunities.
But above all else, my greatest pride and purpose come from my family—my amazing wife, Camille, and our two incredible daughters. They inspire everything I do. My drive to constantly grow my financial literacy, expand my real estate portfolio, and create lasting generational wealth stems from my desire to secure their future.
For me, passive income isn’t just about financial freedom—it’s about peace of mind. Knowing that each investment brings us closer to true stability and security fuels my work ethic and keeps me focused on the bigger picture. Every challenge, every late-night grind, and every hard-won success is worth it because it’s building the life I’ve always dreamed of for my family.
