Devon Kennard Scholarship Fund

Devon created the “Devon Kennard Scholarship Fund” for students who are apart of the Midnight Golf Program in Detroit. Midnight Golf Program is an after school program for high school students who are in their junior and senior years. MGP spends time mentoring the kids as well as helping the kids get ready for college by providing SAT tutoring, walking them through application processes as well as applying for scholarships.
As a part of the “Devon Kennard Scholarship Fund” DK asked the students to write essays about a book that impacted their lives. Their was over 40 applications and all of the essays were exceptional making DK’s choice difficult. In the end he chose Jalen Fountain and Maya Solomon as the winners. Jalen and Maya are both incredible young people with a bright future ahead and DK is glad to now be apart of their journey!
