WHY I BUILT 42 SOLUTIONS FOR SPEED, FLEXIBILITY, AND LONG-TERM LEVERAGE

Most people think business success comes from scaling up — bigger teams, bigger offices, bigger everything. But in today’s world, one of the most underrated flexes is staying lean and highly adaptable.


At 42 Solutions, I built my private lending business around low overhead and high flexibility — by design. Not because I wanted to “bootstrap,” but because I wanted to stay dangerous.


Here’s what I mean:

  • With the speed of AI, new tech, and remote capabilities, the way we build companies is changing fast.

  • Long decision cycles, bloated payrolls, and old-school infrastructure aren’t just inefficient — they’re risky.

  • I wanted a company that could punch above its weight, pivot fast, and scale on my terms.


So I leaned into the edge I have:

  • A tight-knit, reliable team

  • The right tech stack and automations

  • AI tools for underwriting, borrower screening, and ops

  • Short-term (12-month) loans that keep our capital flowing and allow us to adapt quickly to market conditions


That structure gives me options. It means I can navigate rate changes, borrower demand, and capital deployment strategy with way more agility than traditional lenders.


And honestly, that’s what I value most as an operator. Control. Flexibility. Speed.


Big teams and long-term commitments might look impressive, but in today’s environment, discipline and optionality are the real power moves.


If you’re building something of your own, don’t overlook the power of staying lean and strategic. It’s not about doing everything yourself — it’s about setting yourself up to respond fast, think clearly, and play the long game.
