DK was the featured coach at the Hogs and Dawgs pass rush and pass protection camp last weekend! It was a special moment for Devon because it was the first time he was able to share the field with his father and brother and they spent 4 hours teaching high school kids specific techniques that will help the kids take their game to the next level.

For #MyCauseMyCleats, DK chose to represent the Midnight Golf Program in Detroit, Michigan which is a mentorship program that helps HS seniors prepare for college and life after school. DK has a passion for kids and thinks education and mentorship are the perfect ways to make an impact. Learn More Here

HUGE UPDATE: Devon Kennard has made a huge impact in Detroit already. His teammates voted him one of the captains for the 2018 season. Natural leader on and off the field!

Although the Lions lost on MNF vs. the New York Jets, DK was a bright spot leading the defense with 6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL and a QB pressure!

In the 7th grade DK was nominated as student of the week. In the school newspaper he said his dream was to go to USC and play in the NFL. 15 years later he has his undergrad and masters degree from USC and is entering his 5th year in the NFL. This is a great example of the importance of goal setting. DK wants every kid to understand that they can achieve every dream they have for their life if they put in the work!

Thanks to Civic Builders I was able to visit and speak to kids at DREAM Charter School in New York.
